Disco is proud to announce that we will be at the Southwest Energy Institute again to demonstrate our services in regards to the oil and gas industry. Through April 27-29, 2015, we will be participating at the Southwest Energy Institute Conference that is being held at the Seward County Activity Center in Liberal, Kansas.
The Southwest Energy Institute, formerly known as the Gas Compressor Institute as well as the Measurement and Pipeline Institute, is holding a conference during this time period that allows companies that are prominent in the field of gas compression to promote their services to a very targeted demographic. The Southwest Energy Institute is put on by the Petroleum Industry Education Committee and is housed at the Seward County Activity Center.
The 3-day event starts off with a golf tournament at the Willow Tree Golf Course in Liberal, KS. You will find that this is not your typical golf tournament. The golf tournament has been an important part of the Southwest Energy Institute, formerly the Gas Compressor Institute, for over 10 years. The golf tournament raises money for scholarships that goes to students that want to go into the oil and gas industry as well as providing the funding for classroom educational programs.
The next two days will be all about demonstrating how our services play an important part in the enormous oil and gas industry. We will have a booth where you will be able to talk to some of our employees and learn about our company and what we do. You will also be able to see some of the work that we have done and can follow us through social media to learn about any of our new services or to find out what is going on with the company.
There are a number of companies in addition to Disco who are attending the conference who are in the oil and gas industry. The goal of the Southwest Energy Institute Conference is to provide education for the oil and gas industry through the Institutes that put on these conferences. The profits that are generated through these conferences go towards paying for future institutes, such as the former Gas Compressor Institute and the Measurement and Pipeline Instrument, providing scholarships to students who are interested in the oil and gas industry, and to establish training programs at local colleges in an effort to teach an awareness of the benefits that can be obtained through the use of compressed natural gas as a fuel source.
Stop by the Southwest Energy Institute Conference and take a look at how we play a role in the oil and gas industry and what we offer when compared to some of the other companies that have a place in this unique industry. We look forward to seeing you in Liberal, KS at the Southwest Energy Institute Conference on April 28-29.
